Plexus Polaire is one of the world’s most renowned puppet theatre companies and the talk of every performing arts festival. The award-winning and critically acclaimed company delves deep into literary works, deconstructing the stories and reassembling them with new perspectives and angles. Artistic director, Yngvild Aspeli, explores works and characters with an intensity and awareness that resonates within us, and shakes the stories she tells to the very core. Plexus Polaire travels the world with their performances, and they were last seen at Go Figure in 2022, presenting Moby Dick.

Et dukkehjem/A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen is one of the world’s most performed plays. In this production, featuring one female and one male actor-puppeteer in a house haunted by life-sized dolls, dead birds, and a possessed women’s choir, you are invited on a visually transformative journey beneath the surface. The protagonist, Nora, experiences a collision with her own reality, like a bird hitting the invisible glass. Through the performance, the old house filled with ghosts that still influence us today is explored.

Et dukkehjem/A Doll’s House is an opportunity to reflect on who we are, the choices we make, and how we shape our own illusions. It is not just a performance, but an invitation to delve into your own life and explore your own choices.

Welcome to Go Figure!

This is the festival for all of those who love puppet theatre, for those who know what puppet theatre is, but are unsure if they like it, and for those who have never experienced a single puppet theatre performance in their life. During Go Figure, you will find experiences that can crack you up, allow you to immerse yourself in sensory expressions, and that might challenge your own perspectives. Welcome!
